Bring your kids and the whole family to burn off some calories before the feast on Thanksgiving Day and join the family-friendly activity Run to Feed the Hungry. This family-friendly charity run raises funds and awareness about food insecurity in the Sacramento community.

In 1994, 796 participants turned out for the inaugural Run to Feed the Hungry on Thanksgiving morning. Last year, they were joined by 26,765 runners and walkers, making Run to Feed the Hungry the largest Thanksgiving Day fun run in the country! Run to Feed the Hungry is owned, operated and the largest annual fundraiser for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.  This year, it is expected to have more participants. To register, click here.

Come to Folsom Lion’s Park/Rodeo Park on Thanksgiving morning for a 5k run/walk or a 10k run. The family-friendly activity fun run benefits the Twin Lakes Food Bank, a faith-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to share God’s love by mobilizing the community to provide food and support to those in need in our community.

Folsom Turkey Trot aims to encourage youth participation in the hope that the experience will teach kids that it is not about winning the race but doing their best to complete a set goal.
