The Tahoe City Winter Sports Park offers ice skating, XC skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing in the heart of Tahoe City. Cafe Zenon provides a full-service bar and restaurant on the property. For family fun, the sled hill is adjacent to beautiful Lake Tahoe. Spend a session sliding and laughing on our artificial sled hill. Disc rental is included with the purchase of your sled hill session. Outside sleds are not permitted.

Participate in all the park offers or spectate from inside the lodge. Everything is within view of the lodge, and no matter how cold it gets, the kids are just steps away from the warmth of the fire and a hot chocolate. Tahoe City Sports Park is a dog-friendly course, so leaving your pup at home is unnecessary. The trails are groomed seven days per week as an added community benefit.

Tubing occurs in scheduled sessions with limited capacity to ensure you keep your tube and get more thrilling laps with your family. Tahoe Tubing promises pure winter fun, and no personal sleds are allowed.

One entry fee per person covers the cost to enter Snowplay’s monitored tubing lanes, sled lanes, and free play area.

Tahoe Donner Snowplay is open to the public and Tahoe Donner members. Members who have paid their Recreation Fees have free access all winter long—online reservations are required. A paid adult must accompany participants under 12 in the Snowplay area. Wearing snow boots is recommended, as you will walk back up the hill with your tube once you go down the hill.

Blizzard Mountain is one of Sierra’s best family-friendly winter attractions and is just hours away from San Jose. Two lift-accessible snow tubing lanes, an expanded snow play, and a sledding area that allows little (and big) ones to explore the winter outdoors at their own pace all make Blizzard Mountain one of the most entertaining spots to spend an afternoon at the mountain.

You must drive approximately one hour and forty-five minutes from the metropolis to reach this sledding mountain. This hill is also a segment of the Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort positioned in the Twin Bridges. The sledding and snow play prices include access to the sledding hill and a snow play area.

Spooner Summit is a free sledding and tubing area located next to the junction of Highways 50 and 28 along Lake Tahoe’s eastern side. The grade varies from steep slopes near the top to mild slopes at the bottom, making it an excellent location for all sledding abilities. With about a 50-foot elevation difference from its highest point to its lowest point, it’s possible to ride a nice distance before coming to a stop.

Because Spooner Summit is centrally located along Tahoe’s eastern side and is the nearest high-elevation sledding hill to Carson City, it can see sizeable crowds on weekends. No bathrooms or trash facilities are located in the sledding area, and parking is free in a lot at the base of the hill.
