Father’s Day Cruise on the USS Potomac
We’re cruising on Father’s Day! It’s Sunday June 19th and we will celebrate fathers with another adventure on the San Francisco Bay. Bring your father, bring your proof of vaccination and celebrate with us.
This will be a three hour cruise. Box lunch and beverages are included. We will be departing at 12 PM on June 19th from 540 Water Street, Jack London Square in Oakland, CA and returning at approximately 3:00 PM. Arrive by 11:30 to check in and find a spot on the ship. We’ll cruise and celebrate fathers everywhere. Dad jokes allowed.
As usual, for everyone’s protection all our on-board crew and volunteers are fully vaccinated and boosted. We require that all guests be fully vaccinated and boosted – proof of all 3 vaccination will be checked at the gate – no exceptions for anyone regardless of age or condition. We strongly recommend you have a mask available. Covid safety guidelines for Alameda County as of the date of the sailing will be our guide.
Remember please, no high-heeled or platform shoes. This is a moving ship. The ladders are steep, the thresholds are raised. You will need stable shoes to be safe.
It is best to dress in layers as the wind and weather can change from warm to cool and calm to windy very quickly.
Arrive early and watch a 15-minute video in the Visitor Center prior to the cruise. The video provides a glimpse of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s use of the Potomac, emphasizes the impact of his administration on the country and tells the Potomac’s restoration story. Boarding typically begins 15 minutes before the departure at 12:00 PM. We are located in the north end of Jack London Sq. next to the Ferry Terminal.
There will be no ticket sales through the USS Potomac office or at the ship. The only way you can get on-board is to buy a ticket through our online Eventbrite service.
Please join us for this fatherful event!
