The workshop will begin with a tour of the farm where our fall harvest will be in full swing. During this workshop we will be sharing how to build a beautiful arrangement using succulents and dried flowers on your favorite pumpkin or gourd. We grow over 60 varieties of pumpkins and squash, have several succulent gardens and have been drying flowers and foliage all year long just for this time of the year. As we explore the field’s we will share our secrets for selecting and growing the best varietals for dried flowers, techniques for drying flowers. Then we will gather on our event patio for a demonstration on how to create your own beautiful unique succulent and dried flower arrangement on a pumpkin or squash of your choice. These are truly one of a kind long lasting creations that our customers love during the holiday season and all year round. As always, we will have a snack table brimming with our favorite locally crafted delicacies, FBF-grown produce and our homemade strawberry lemonade. Then we will dig in and everyone will make their own unique arrangement to take home with support and guidance from our FBF crew. We will provide all of the tools and materials you will need for creating your own unique arrangement.
*Open to everyone – this is a fun and supportive atmosphere. Because we will be touring the farm, we will encounter uneven and varied terrain. While we often farm in sandals, we recommend you wear shoes you would feel comfortable getting muddy. Our event patio is accessible and level, but is a wood mulched surface. Dress in layers as the temperatures and weather are very unpredictable and it can be sunny and warm just as easily as wet, cold, and windy.
*Workshop purchases are non-refundable. However, if you find you can’t make it, please by all means give your spot to a friend!
*Workshop must have at least 4 people in order to run. If not fulfilled, we will let you know with plenty of lead time and offer either a refund or placement in another workshop of your choice.
