A Community of Learning and Caring

Rating : No Reviews Yet ( 0 Reviews )

We provide a small school size (about 1000 students) with a diverse and vast array of learning and growth opportunities. A strong academic core with a rich selection of AP classes, award winning Fine Arts programs, community-linked career exploration partnerships, community service programs, a wide variety of clubs and student activity programs, and competitive sports programs, all contribute to providing students with an array of choices with which to be involved and explore their interests. Big enough to serve group interests, yet small enough to care for the individual.

Our parent Booster Club has, for many years, run a local bingo program that has contributed funding for scholarships, classroom equipment, coaching positions, and school events. Parents also are partners on the School Site Council, providing input on school programs and funding through the School Site Plan. The Small Business Academy program, designed to give students an exposure to the world of small business management, works with local businesses – including Sunrise Mall – to provide real-world experience and mentoring for the students in the program. A partnership with the Citrus Heights Police Department provides a Safe Schools Resource Officer (Officer Ryan Smith) on campus each day. Working in conjunction with our Counseling Department and Student Assistance Program Coordinator, this team provides for student safety, intervention and support.
