AFI- Preparatory Academy, a non-profit community organization began its journey in 2007 with 9 teenagers in the Antelope Library. The program expanded to Faith Fellowship Church in North Highlands where the program ran for 6 years. Success stories of participants using their learned skills extends to various universities in departments such as theatre arts for costume design.
The extensive program that runs from September to June has broadened into Career Technical Education offered throughout Sacramento with a project based curriculum that includes creative design, technology and entrepreneurship. Provide a real world enviornment for students to explore career options that lead to success in higher education, employment, and personal improvement in the apparel industry.
