San Jose American is offering 8 baseball divisions for the 2020 season. The age ranges listed are guidelines and may not reflect the division your child will ultimately play:
T-Ball 4-5 years old
Minors – Coach Pitch (A) 6 year olds
Minors – Player/Coach Pitch (AA) 7-8 years old
Minors – Player Pitch (AAA) 9-10 years old
Majors 11-12 years old
Juniors 13-14 years old
Seniors 15-16 years old
Challenger Division is intended for kids age 4-18 with special needs who are interested in playing baseball with the assistance of Majors Division players.
The Registration process requires:
– Three documents to verify eligibility to play with SJALL. The documents can be uploaded electronically during the online registration process (the documents will be automatically deleted once verified by an SJALL board member). Optionally, you can choose not to upload the eligibility documents and instead bring them to the Pre-Season Parent Information & Verification Meeting on January 8, 2020.
– Completion of the Little League Medical Release form & the Little League Model Release Form (provided during the online registration process).
There will be a SJALL Pre-Season Parent Information & Verification Meeting on January 8, 2020. The time & location will be sent at a further date. Please bring the following items to the meeting to complete the registration process:
1. If you did not upload the 3 documents to verify player eligibility to play with SJALL during online registration, please bring the documents for verification by SJALL board members. See this Little League Baseball Reference for which documents can be used to establish residence eligibility: https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/residency-checklist/. Age verification must be verified by original birth certificate.
2*. Print and complete the Little League Volunteer Application.
3*. A photocopy of driver’s license or other government-issued identification (see the Little League Volunteer Application form).
4*. Provide a post-dated check held until volunteer requirements have been fulfilled.
*Challenger/Junior/Senior divisions are exempt from the Volunteer requirement.
If it is necessary to withdraw a player from the program, refunds will be provided as follows:
-Withdrawal prior to Team Formation – 100% minus $15.00 registration fee.
-Withdrawal after team formation will be considered by the San Jose American Little League Board of Directors on an individual basis.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the date in which payment has cleared.All refund requests must be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
A player who does not reside or attend school in the league boundaries may apply to play in San Jose American Little League but will not be eligible to play on any league all star tournament teams.
