At Opya, our integrated, multidisciplinary approach to therapy (behavioral, speech, feeding, occupational therapy) are tightly integrated to provide a comprehensive and coordinated care approach. A large component of our therapy includes parent and family training in order to ensure the entire team is working towards coordinated treatment goals to maximize client progress. By utilizing family training, in-home programs, and integration across disciplines, children are able to achieve their goals more quickly.
Opya’s Behavioral Health Services are designed to deliver research-based interventions with a focus on the client’s individual communication skills, self-help skills, social skills, and behavior. Our programs use positive ABA-based, reinforcement-focused interventions to teach skills.
Speech Therapy utilizes evidence-based practice to design and implement child-specific therapy plans to address articulation, language, social and Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) skills. Feeding Therapy treats exceptionally picky eaters using research based programming that children enjoy.
Occupational Therapy focuses on improving fine motor, gross motor and sensory processing skills as needed for every-day activities. Therapy goals address increasing children’s independence in the areas of: dressing, self-feeding, hygiene, play and sensory regulation. We support clients as individuals by establishing unique goals and play-based activities that they enjoy.
