Start your 4th of July celebrations in Fresno with a bang, a beautiful 4-mile run event, and 100-meter and ¼ mile dash fun activities! The event will occur at Woodward Park, which has hundreds of acres of trees, geese, and beautiful wildlife. You will enjoy the American flag-lined course. They hope to inspire you to race, run, or walk to the best of your ability.
Motivate your family, friends, and fellow competitors to join in. The 4-mile run distance involves a race through the pristine setting of Woodward Park and the River Bottom Loop. The 2-mile run/walk is a fast course on the road and stroller-friendly. Our little Patriots 8 years of age and under get to join in the 100-meter and ¼ mile-dash fun. What a way to start one of the most important days of the year for our great country.

The Greater Madera Kiwanis Club will host the 4th July Fireworks event at the Madera Fairgrounds. Family fun begins at 5 pm with food, games for kids, live music, and beverages on the grounds. The event and parking are free for everyone, and they invite everyone to a night of fun, family, and fireworks.
As they invite the community, they want to remind everyone that barbecues, animals (unless service animals), coolers, food and drink, and personal fireworks are prohibited in the event or parking lot areas. If you bring or light personal fireworks, you will be asked to leave immediately. You may bring chairs and blankets, but tents or pop-ups will not be allowed.
