Please join the USS Hornet as we celebrate the 4th of July (10 am to 5 pm) with a BBQ on the flight deck! We will have music, food & drink to purchase and more!
Music: DJ Samoa Boy will be playing all your favorite hits! Food: Oakland Smokehouse BBQ and the Grilled Cheese Guys. Beverages: Best Beverage Company will have 2 no host bars on the flight deck and Joe Espresso will be in the hangar bay with coffee and more.
The ship’s Island will be open for free tours. The rest of the museum is open as normal so you can see all our iconic aircraft (including our F-14 Tomcat just like those in Top Gun!), Apollo artifacts and all the ship’s areas and exhibits belowdecks. This includes the sick bay, torpedo room, marine corps berthing, ready room, our new home front exhibit and so much more. There is something for everyone.
Plenty of free parking! Best view of the San Francisco Skyline anywhere!
We will be closing early enough so you will have enough time to go to your favorite spot to watch the fireworks.
Note: There will be NO Fireworks at the USS Hornet.
