EGUSD, the Department of Family and Community Engagement and our Families of Black Students United (FBSU) Affinity Space are proud to convene the 2023 Black Family Conference at Smedberg Middle School. Our theme this year is: “From Challenge to Triumph”. There will be workshops for 6th-12th grade students, families, caregivers and other caring adults focusing on activism, advocacy, empowerment and much more. This is a free event. Conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with registrations beginning at 7:30 a.m.
