Family Fall Fest – Oct 1st is an outdoor family friendly event that will be held near the American River (event is permitted). The location is on closed-off street and court near the American River (located just before entrance of River Bend Park), as well as walks via public easements on adjacent property on river for nature talks and much more. Admission is free – open to the public
There will be nature walks, live music, fun arts & crafts, short educational talks, live bird show (hawks, etc.), an award-winning puppet show (in kid zone), raffle prizes, and more. Plus a school bus for kids to explore, an old fire engine from 1932 (known as Mills One Fire Engine in Rancho Cordova), learn more about Nisenan heritage and life on the lower American River, Pony Express, the Alexander Leidesdorff Ranch, and wildlife on and in the river, and visit with other fun and interesting exhibitors. And a number of food vendors will be there, too.
Location: Outdoor event at Stirling Park Drive & Rod Beaudry Drive – just before the entrance of River Bend Park in Sacramento.
