Roseville Parent Education Preschool

In this cooperative setting, both parents and children are provided opportunities to learn together through experience, thus enhancing parent-child, family, and community relationships.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool (RPEP) is a parent-participation preschool. Statistics indicate that a very high percentage of parents who have been involved in parent-participation preschools continue their involvement throughout their children’s elementary and secondary education. This kind of support gives children self-esteem and confidence. As a parent co-operative preschool, RPEP offers an excellent adult-child ratio for all of our classes.

The teachers of Roseville Parent Education Preschool strive to offer parents education and support to nurture the growth and development of their young children in a safe, caring environment. In this cooperative setting, both parents and children are provided opportunities to learn together through experience, thus enhancing parent-child, family, and community relationships.

Carnegie Museum

We’ve been busy fulfilling our mission by preserving Roseville’s history. With volunteer support, Roseville’s newspapers from the past are being indexed for easier access. You could be a part of it too. Help us open a window onto the past as one of our volunteers.

The Carnegie Museum is housed in Roseville’s first permanent library. The building was constructed in 1912 with brick and terra cotta from Gladding McBean in nearby Lincoln and granite from Rocklin. Roseville labor built the structure on the land donated by Roseville businessman A. B. McRae. The original cost of the building was $12,500.

This library, like many others built during the early part of the century, was funded in part by Andrew Carnegie. The Women`s Improvement Club helped to raise the remainder of the funds and their efforts were matched by funds from the City of Roseville. It was Roseville`s first permanent library.
