Mike and Terri’s Davis Tutoring Center, officially known as Academic Improvement Center, is located near downtown Davis, and has been in operation since 1997. Since then, the tutors, Mike Leonard, PhD, and Terri Leonard, MD, have worked with hundreds of students from Davis and surrounding communities. We tutor math, science, English, and Spanish for grades 7 through college.

We are committed to maintaining excellence in our work, we, unlike other tutoring services, do not hire lesser-qualified tutors, which means students work exclusively with Mike or Terri. A major advantage of our tutoring center is that both Mike and Terri expertly tutor math, science, Spanish, and English, which means that, unlike other tutoring services, students do not have a “subject-specific” tutor who can only handle one subject.  Rather, a student can get help with his AP physics homework, his English essay, his AP Spanish homework, and prepare for his calculus test all in the same hour.
