Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball, a league for 13-18 year olds, conducted its first season in 1962. During those early years, there were no more than four teams and only one field, the Brown Diamond in Elk Grove Park. Today, the age 13-15 division has 14 to 17 teams that play on six fields, including two with lights. There is also a 16-18 division that generally has two teams and plays either high school summer ball teams or other local recreational teams.
