Today, children and teenagers have to deal with many more pressures than even 20 or 50 years ago: scholastic achievement pressures, the divorce of parents, social competence, and at times the impact of accidents, illness or abuse on their young lives, all have increased. In addition, mental health problems in children have risen dramatically, from depression and anxiety disorders, to ADHD, mood and behavior problems to Autism. Our clinic offers parents solid help in addressing these concerns.

We view each child from a broad family perspective, not just a limited symptom based perspective. We consider the interaction of chemical, psychological, physical and environmental factors in the development and treatment of a disorder. Our interventions are geared to mediate the stressor that these interactions create. Our emphasis is on helping each child be successful in their lives and helping the parents in their role to support and nurture the development and growth of their child.
