Young Rembrandts teaches drawing, the basis of all visual arts, in a fun and nurturing setting that ensures success for every child. Our classes combine basic drawing techniques, portraiture and cartooning skills by exploring different themes and subject matters. Offerings include weekly after-school classes during the school year and week-long summer camps.

Students will learn proper pastel coloring technique, blending, and excellent color harmony as they create eye-catching sea stars along the shoreline, a pair of vibrant clown fish, a wondrous scene of jellyfish, and more ocean-themed creatures filled with detail.

Our students will be elated as we celebrate our cuddly friends by drawing playful puppies, kittens, a bird, even your pet hamster and lizard.

Magical, mythical, marvelous art is coming your way! Students will tap into their imagination while learning to draw otherworldly creatures like fairies, trolls and a forest queen.

Go on an African Safari with us as we practice our drawing techniques on a baboon, cheetah, giraffe, and alligator. We will work on our cartooning technique with our king lion lesson and end the week drawing a huge, detailed African snake.

$124  Culinary Pastels |  In-Person at Color Me Mine Elk Grove (9-11:30am) 

We’ll use pastels to create amazing, “can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. A mouse making soup, a dog eyeing the spaghetti, cookies with animal faces, and silly birds on cakes are some of the mischievously delicious drawings students will create every day.
