Doyle McMahan is the head instructor at Dragon Star Karate. Our facility is located in Roseville, CA. Doyle McMahan has been training in martial arts for 38 years. He is a 6th Degree Black Belt, author of numerous teaching and training articles, a distinguished public speaker and a consultant who has been a featured guest at industry events all over the world. He has built a proven training foundation that is deep rooted in tradition and dedicated to the total advancement of mind, body and spirit. His style of training is self-paced and structured in a high-energy atmosphere, focusing on real world self-defense, overall fitness and peace of mind.

A decorated combat veteran with the US Army’s Special Operations, Mr. McMahan also taught the Unarmed Self Defense portion of the US Army’s acclaimed SERE (Survival Escape, Resistance, and Evasion) program at the JFK Special Warfare School. An accomplished fighter and instructor, Master McMahan’s teaching philosophy provides students with an effective real-world self-defense program, as well as a means for personal growth, character development, discipline and overall fitness.
