The club is non-profit and is committed to being a part of the community by providing affordable training to children and adults.  We value fairness, equality & diversity and strive to improve the practice environment to promote those values in a family friendly atmosphere.

Capital City Judo believes that while training methods can always be improved upon, the traditional values that judo develops are constant.

Our approach to Judo is to continually educate ourselves about the latest developments in training and instruction, and employ those developments when they are consistent with the values that have been passed down to us from our heritage in the martial arts.

We believe that judo training benefits not only the individual, but society as a whole. The dedication, commitment, rigorous training, and the need to mutually co-operate with training partners to maximize results help our students develop a positive and rewarding approach to not only judo but to their daily lives.

Classes are appropriate for the serious Judo competitor, club players, beginners and people wanting to add take-downs or grappling to their martial arts practice.  Children’s classes will always have a female instructor or female senior club member supervising the class.
