Children who have been victims of abuse or neglect receive various residential and educational services through SCH. Capable of accommodating 80 children, the residential program provides therapy, guidance, support and care for survivors of traumatic childhoods. Most residents have lived in one or more foster homes prior to admittance. They also participate in day services and take part in individual and group therapy.

The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Asthma, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Emotional Disturbances, Learning Differences, Mood Disorder, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome, School Phobia, Schizophrenia, Tourette`s Syndrome.
