Our Vision

Bridges to Communication offers play-based speech and language intervention to children and families in San Francisco. We serve children with a variety of communication difficulties. Our vision is to offer families services that are sustainable and improve the child’s communication across a lifespan.

Natural Settings

We offer services both at our playspace and within the child’s home. Our playspace has a home feel to it. We offer periodic home visits to families that visit our playspace, to help ensure that we fully understand the child’s communication from a naturalistic standpoint.

Parental Involvement

We ask parents to play an active role in our sessions. Parents have the strongest relationship with their child and can be instrumental to a child’s communication growth.

Collaboration

We collaborate with other providers to work holistically. In our experience, children make greater progress and generalize these skills when the therapist has observed the child’s communication within a variety of contexts.
