Recess is based in San Francisco, CA. We specialize in creating places for community to gather, designing spaces to promote child-directed play, and facilitating parent & caregiver connection.

When children are free to explore in a developmentally appropriate space, caregivers can take a breath and relax. In those moments, the organic opportunities to commiserate, share resources or just give a knowing glance help us feel less isolated in the role of raising young children.

Through this dynamic, we promote healthy early child development, connect caregivers with resources, reduce isolation, and support the well-being and mental health of families with young children.
