Our school first began with grades K-10 on Dorland Street in the educational building at First Covenant Church. Junior and Senior High School were moved into the Calvary Baptist Church in the fall of 1972, where 11th and 12th grades were added to our program. In 1973, San Francisco Christian School’s first group of scholars graduated. Since 1973, our staff and faculty have helped our school become one of the best private high schools in the San Francisco, CA area.
Attendance and enrollment continued to grow with each passing year. This increase called for the construction of our school on Whittier Street in 1976. Our district was incorporated into the ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in 1984. Today, we are one of the best private high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area providing an International program and a Christian education while also encouraging students to participate in athletics, music, art, and community service.
