For our youngest performers, this introduction to creative drama features storytelling and improvisational games. Kids will engage with classic stories and follow their imaginations to come up with inventive ways of dramatizing the dialogue and action. Ages 3 to 5.
Students create their own characters and, with the instructor’s guidance, collaboratively weave them together into their own story. Emphasizing improvisational techniques and games, as well as translating character and story development into performance. The show will be presented on the final day of class!
Students enact stories as well as create their own unique adventures. Emphasis on improvisation, character development and the fundamentals of story structure. The class culminates with a performance for family and friends. For children ages 5-7 who are learning to love the magic of drama.
