The Cordova High School Music Boosters seeks to create and promote a positive environment for the Rancho Cordova community by supporting the CHS Instrumental Music Program. Under the direction of Kevin Sims, the music program consists of the Marching Band, Concert Band, String Orchestra, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Color Guard, and Drumline.

This non-profit organization’s members include dedicated parents, relatives, alumni, and community members. There is no membership fee. As the most active parent group on Cordova High’s campus, they sponsor and volunteer fundraising activities as:
-Tri-tip sandwich booth at all home football games
-Annual BBQ Tri-tip and Chicken Dinner (Late October)
-Annual Crab Feed (3rd Saturday in January)
-Fireworks Booth (Located on Folsom Blvd. and Coloma Road

The band’s repertoire includes orchestral transcriptions, traditional concert band literature, popular and contemporary music. It is the desire of the River City Concert Band to present band music before audiences of diverse backgrounds, foster musical interest among children, and provide performance opportunities for skilled community musicians.

Our day camps are designed to keep your kids active while they are not in school by providing them with new adventures and fun activities.
Technique is where kids (walking age to 18 years old) build athletic skills and confidence while enthusiastic staff encourages self-esteem and skill development. Our programs allow kids of all abilities to participate in gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, kids fitness programs and a variety of other fun activities. We do have both girls and boys USA competitive gymnastics teams and competitive dance teams for those athletics wanting to compete.

Campers have an opportunity to meet new friends and experience several sports, creative arts, and group projects in a safe, kid friendly environment. Camps are offered during summer school breaks, school holidays and most non-instructional school days.

Natomas Music Square opened in 2011 and has been providing Sacramento with music lessons for children and adults of all ages. When Cindy began NMS, it started as a humble in-home lesson service and has grown into a fully staffed, independent music school, achieving its success by following one key principle: Music is an amazing art form that speaks to people.

The CCHAT(Children’s Choice for Hearing and Talking) Center – Sacramento is a school devoted to teaching deaf and hard of hearing children to listen and develop spoken language.
The CCHAT(Children’s Choice for Hearing and Talking) Center – Sacramento is a school devoted to teaching deaf and hard of hearing children to listen and develop spoken language.
Currently, over 60 children are benefiting from CCHAT’s program. CCHAT is state certified as a nonpublic school and is one of two auditory/oral programs serving deaf children in Northern California.
Children attending CCHAT utilize a variety of amplification systems including hearing aids, cochlear implants and personal FM systems. Through a program of individualized language therapy and a creative and imaginative curriculum, children develop competency in communication, social, and academic skills. With these skills they can actively participate in their local schools and within the community at large.
Our approach is based on widely accepted research that indicates that children experience the deepest, most genuine learning when they are having fun. Highly trained teachers foster the cognitive and social development of each child by lovingly guiding the class through play-based activities.
