The grove of towering Norfolk Island Pines on the Founders Lawn is the scene of a dynamic light show orchestrated to lively holiday jazz music, a brilliant ethereal experience that captivates guests with a finale of snow flurries. Showcased is the Norfolk Pine originally made famous in 1904 as the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas tree.
A 12-foot-tall replica of the hotel’s signature red turret complete with holiday lights serves as the focal point of the adjacent bar, surrounded by Victorian-inspired lounge seating for the perfect spot to watch the show. The complimentary 10-minute show takes place every 30 minutes nightly. Open to the public (no reservations needed).

You will be able to walk alongside beautiful holiday displays and drive your golf cart (or walk) under the tunnel of lights. It looks to be one of the best holiday seasons ever in our Campground! Make those reservations for cabins or a site and enjoy the lights!

Continuing its long-standing San Diego tradition, the 54th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights promises to dazzle and entertain bayfront crowds during 2 evenings on December 8 and December 15, 2024. Participants in this year’s highly anticipated holiday boat parade will decorate their boats to fit this year’s theme.
The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights brings more than 100,000 San Diego residents and visitors to the shores of San Diego Bay each year. The procession of approximately 80 lavishly decorated boats has become one of the most iconic events in the region. There is no cost to view the parade.
