Master Chess camps are for advanced USCF-rated scholastic chess players. A minimum rating of USCF 1000 is required to attend. Master chess camps are taught by professional Senior Staff or Titled Instructors and provide much more complex materials than regular chess camps. Master Chess Camp includes daily lecture-style lessons, which may require extended concentration and sitting to engage in listening rather than relaxed learning.

There will also be several practice games and tactical and positional chess puzzle exercises throughout the day. Daily lectures, exercises, and practice games will be alternated with the recesses. The instruction schedule is flexible and can depend on coaches’ discretion, but may include: calculation training, opening preparation, middle games, end games, game analysis, etc. Learn more about the camp here.

These sessions are for boys and girls, ages 7-15, of all skill levels and abilities, focusing on individual skill development, the importance of fundamentals, and developing a healthy team attitude. Trainers will lead purposeful workouts that impact each player’s unique game, approach to the sport, and overall skill set. There will be camp appearances by players and coaches.

All participants will receive a reversible Warriors Basketball Camp jersey, headband, certificate of participation, and more. Early registration and sibling discounts are available. Campers will design their day in real time by choosing from various activities. Campers ramp up and wind down with recreational choices in the early morning and late afternoon.
